AVEN was founded in 2001 with two distinct goals: creating public acceptance and discussion of asexuality and facilitating the growth of an asexual community. 

Because bisexual today are still misunderstood, marginalized, and discriminated against, the RBC is committed to providing support to the bisexual community and raising public awareness about bisexuality and bisexual people.

鈥淪ince 2007, the Campus Pride Index (CPI) had been the premier LGBTQ national benchmarking tool for colleges and universities to create safer, more inclusive campus communities. The free online tool allows prospective students, families/ parents and those interested in higher education to search a database of LGBTQ- friendly campuses who have come out to improve the academic experiences and quality of campus life.鈥�

The index is owned and operated by Campus Pride, the leading national nonprofit organization for students leaders and campus groups working to create safer, more LGBTQ-friendly learning environments at colleges and universities. The index is supported under Campus Pride Q Research Institution for Higher Education and as benefits from strategic partnerships with professional organizations in higher education and related LGBTQ nonprofit organizations.

CDC provides free, fast, and confidential testing at various locations throughout Tampa. The website also provides services that can help locate facilities where one can buy condoms or PrEP.

The Consortium of Higher Education LGBT Resource Professionals is a member-based organization working towards the liberation of LGBTQ people in higher education. We support individuals  who work on campuses to educate and support people of diverse  sexual orientations and gender identities, as well as advocate for more inclusive policies and practices through an intersectional and racial justice framework.

This section describes a number of scholarships available to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students. These scholarships offer a variety of criteria for eligibility. This is not an exhaustive list of all the possible sources of scholarships.

The Hotline offers free and confidential peer-counseling information, and local resource for cities and towns throughout the United States. The Hotline speaks with callers of all ages about coming-out issues, relationships concerns, HIV/AIDS anxiety, safer-sex information, and more.

GLSEN strives to assure that each member of every school community is values and respected regardless of sexual identity or gender identity expression. GLSEN also sponsors the National Day of Silence, which closes to two million students, teachers, and staff have been a part if on at least 3,029 school campuses across the country.

STOP AIDS Project was founded in 1984 by concerted and frightened community members who invited others into their homes to discuss their fears and figure out how to protect each other in the early days of the aids epidemic.

The Trevor Project is the national provider of life saving resources to LGBTQ youth and their families. The Audre Lorde Project is a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Two Spirit, Trans and Gender Non Conforming People of Color center for community organizing, focusing on the New York City area.
