Spring Application Process

New Application Process!
Applications to live on campus for the Spring 2025 semester will open on October 1 in the Housing Portal. To ensure all students have an equal opportunity to secure on-campus housing, USF Housing and Residential Education has implemented a priority application deadline of November 1. Those who apply between October 1 and November 1 will receive a randomized room selection timeslot that is not dependent on the day they applied. Those who apply after the November 1 priority deadline will receive more information after November 5 regarding availability.
If you are a new student, make sure you complete the Steps to Living on Campus so you can be ready to select a room during your room selection timeslot. Spring 2025 will have limited housing options to choose from, however, it is a good idea to explore the residence hall options before selecting a room.
Spring 2025 Application & room selection timeline
Spring 2025 Application Opens
October 1
The Spring 2025 housing application opens in the Housing Portal on October 1. Students
have until the priority deadline of November 1 to apply to be included in the first
group of students who will receive a randomized room selection timeslot. Room selection
timeslots will be given out based on how many beds are available for spring.
Please note: Spring housing is limited. Applying before the priority deadline does
not guarantee you housing.
Priority Deadline to Apply
November 1
The priority deadline to apply for housing for Spring 2025 will end at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, November 1. All students who apply between October 1 through November 1 will be included in the first group of students to receive a randomized timeslot for room selection based on availability. Students who do not apply before the priority deadline will still be able to apply for Spring 2025 housing. However, Spring 2025 housing is limited. Those who apply after the November 1 priority deadline will receive more information after November 5 regarding room selection availability.
Room Selection Time Slots Emailed Out
November 5
Randomized room selection time slots will be sent out to students who applied before the November 1 priority deadline. Students who applied after the priority deadline will receive communication regarding room selection availability after November 5.
Spring 2025 Room Selection
November 13-15
Room selection will begin on Wednesday, November 13 for Spring 2025 housing. Students will be able to log into the Housing Portal during their assigned room selection timeslot to choose their space.
