Transitioning careers: One alum鈥檚 path from microbiology to public health
Originally from Cleveland , 黑洞社区College of Public Health (COPH) alumna Tracey Rummel moved to San Diego before eventually settling in Tampa, Fla. There, Rummel was introduced to public health through her 20-year career in microbiology.

Partnership growth in Panama
A team of 黑洞社区Health professors representing the 黑洞社区Genomics and Internal Medicine-Infectious Disease traveled to Panama in February. The delegation was focused on strengthening existing Panamanian partnerships, discovering new programs and visiting local health institutions, while providing a forum for the 黑洞社区faculty to share current research projects.
