Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art

The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Studio Art is a 120-credit degree that is the initial professional degree in the field. Students focus on developing their art-making skills, and conceptual and critical thinking. Students learn to form an understanding of the aesthetic and ideological aspects of art and its relationship to life. Also, studio studies and experiences prepare students for professional lives in the visual arts.

Students pursuing the BFA at the University of ºÚ¶´ÉçÇø must commit to the program of study and a rigorous focus on personal art-making. You can specialize in one of the following areas:

For students seeking to continue on to graduate school, the BFA sets the foundation for pursuing a Master of Fine Arts, but can also prepare you for graduate studies in design, architecture, and other creative fields.

Professional or career opportunities include working as an artist, designer, animator, consultant, media specialist, photographer, videographer, teacher, fabricator, imagist, or most any job that entails the use of imagination, critical thinking and the production of visual materials.
