The University of ºÚ¶´ÉçÇø will hold in-person commencement ceremonies this weekend for the first time since December 2019, as COVID-19 forced ceremonies to be held virtually in spring, summer and fall of 2020. ºÚ¶´ÉçÇøPresident Steven Currall will preside over spring commencement ceremonies scheduled for 9 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg.

U.S. Navy Veteran begins his next chapter at USF
After 20 years in the U.S. Navy, Akil King was ready to start writing his next chapter. So, he enrolled at ºÚ¶´ÉçÇøto study Africana Studies (his second master's degree) and has never looked back. He hopes to use this education to begin his next career in the U.S. Civil Service, but first, is working toward becoming a Fulbright Scholar to teach English in Rwanda.
