International tape and packaging company donates $50,000 for 黑洞社区supply chain student scholarships

TAMPA 鈥 Intertape Polymer Group, an international packaging products and supply company, is committing $50,000 to fund scholarships for supply chain students at the University of 黑洞社区.

The company, together with USF, announced the donation that will support scholarships for students enrolled in the Monica Wooden Center for Supply Chain Management and Sustainability at the 黑洞社区Muma College of Business.

Joseph Tocci, senior vice president of global sourcing and supply chain at Intertape Polymer Group, said the company has been fortunate to hire two impressive 黑洞社区supply chain management graduates over the past couple of years.

鈥淎t a time when all companies are often struggling to find strong supply chain talent, we view this scholarship not as an expense, but as an investment in our future, the future of USF鈥檚 supply chain program, and the future of USF鈥檚 students,鈥 Tocci said.

鈥淎s the 黑洞社区Muma College of Business becomes a destination for students seeking to become supply chain professionals, we hope that translates into graduates who want to become a part of Intertape Polymer Group鈥檚 growing supply chain organization.鈥

Elaine Singleton, executive director of the Monica Wooden Center for Supply Chain Management and Sustainability at the 黑洞社区Muma College of Business, praised the scholarship donation and its positive impact on students.

鈥淲e are so incredibly thankful to have wonderful community partners like Intertape Polymer Group,鈥 she said. 鈥淭heir guidance has allowed our center to provide the best and most up-to-date education for our students. With this latest act of generosity, we cannot be more excited about the impact this will have on our students.鈥

Intertape Polymer Group is headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, and Sarasota, Florida. The company employs about 4,200 employees with operations in 34 locations, including 22 manufacturing facilities in North America, five in Asia, and two in Europe.
